Reaching the RIGHT Travelers, at the RIGHT time, in the RIGHT place

By putting marketing focus against the Chinese repeat visitor audience you not only are leveraging your assets against your most likely prospects…. but also identifying a target group around which you can actually put your arms.

The massive numbers associated with China can be daunting…but they are also unrealistic. There is no destination nor shopping marketer in the USA that logically should be interested in all 1.3 Billion Chinese people as only 1% travel internationally.

In fact, no destination nor shopping marketer in the USA should even be logically be interested in the 110 Million Chinese international travelers, as 90% of them only travel within Asia.

In reality, most destinations and shopping marketers in the USA should not even consider the First Time Chinese Travelers who are most likely to visit only the ”iconic” destinations on theirs initial visit to the USA.

Rather, most should put their focus on the 800,000 individual repeat visitors from China to the USA who made 1.3 Million trips (60% of the visits) to the USA in 2014.

The Importance of Reaching the Repeat Visitor

59% of the trips taken by Chinese visitors to the USA are taken by repeat visitors…. those who have been to the USA previously. It is the repeat traveler that is fueling the visitor growth from China.

These travelers are more often FIT (independent) than tour operator based and as such, are the very travelers that consumer advertising is likely to be able to influence. First-time visitors, are twice as likely to purchase a pre-paid inclusive tour package.

Repeat visitors are not locked in to inflexible tour operator itineraries and have a great deal more discretion in deciding where to travel and where to shop.

Distribution at Visa Renewal

The US State Department has outsource the visa renewal process to CITIC BANK, one of China’s largest banking companies which has set up USA visa renewal offices throughout the country.

Essentially America is distributed to the travelers at the time that they renew the visa. There is no other Chinese media opportunity so directly aimed at the traveler to the USA as is Essentially America .

Essentially America is Unique In Its Ability to Bring Your Message to That Market

Here’s How:

The distribution focus of Essentially America is on those applying for a visa renewal. This tells us two things about that traveler:

1) The traveler has been to the USA before as he/she is getting their visa RENEWED.

2) The traveler is planning another trip to the USA because he/she is getting their visa RENEWED.
